Ida's Favorites

In this post, I thought I would go through my favorites, how I use them, and why I like them.

Cleansers
Purito: From Green Cleansing Oil
This one is similar to the previous product but comes in a pump bottle and has a more liquid oil texture. It removes sunscreen, makeup, and dirt without any problems. The application is the same: you apply it to your face and then add water, rinse off, and continue with your water-based cleanser. If you’re unsure which one to choose, consider your preferred consistency—whether you like a runny texture in a bottle or a thicker consistency in a jar (both feel similar on the skin and yield the same results).

Geek & Gorgeous: Jelly Joker Cleanser

For many years, I used a foaming cleanser as my second step and initially panicked a bit that this one didn’t foam. “Will my skin really be clean now?”—the answer is of course yes, but if you’re used to a foaming cleanser, it can take a while to adjust. Now, I actually prefer this one over my foaming cleansers because it’s gentle yet cleanses well, and my skin doesn’t feel dry or stripped (which many foaming cleansers can do to me, especially in the colder months). It’s suitable for all skin types, and I’d say it’s particularly good for the colder months since it protects the skin barrier, but as it gets warmer, you may need to adjust (like me, with combination skin that tends to get a bit oilier in the summer).

Serum

Pure & Care: EGF Peptide Serum & Snail Serum

When I talk about these, I always mention them together. The answer is simple: this combination is magical, and my skin loves them. The fact that the price is also affordable is just too good to be true. I've recommended this combination to several people who didn’t want to spend a fortune on skincare, and everyone has been happy with it. I experience hydrated and calm skin with a glow. I use a couple of drops of both right after cleansing or toning, morning and night.

SOS Serum: SOS Serum

This is a slightly thicker serum with a light cooling effect. I love using it as the last serum, just before my cream, because the thicker consistency gives the feeling that you're almost locking in the lighter products. My sensitive skin loves this. I have nothing negative to say except that I wish I could see how much product is left.

Sunscreen

SOS Serum: SOS SPF 50 Sun Cream & SOS H20 Day Cream with SPF 30

I believe most of us have heard how important sunscreen is, and for me, it’s essential to have a sunscreen that absorbs easily, can be reapplied, is alcohol-free, moisturizes, and is fragrance-free. These two check all the boxes. I use H20 with SPF 30 during the months with less sun or if I'm not going to be outdoors, while for the rest of the year, I use SPF 50. If you haven't tried this brand, I definitely think you should—it's suitable for all skin types, and everyone who has tried them has loved them.

Creams

Altruist: Dry Skin Repair Cream 10% Urea

The cream that literally has my name on it. If you've been on my channels or read my blog before, you probably know that this is one of my absolute favorites that suits the entire body and family. It has helped with everything from my son's eczema to dry winter skin for us adults. For me, who tends to get acne breakouts, this has not been an issue since it doesn’t clog pores. If you're looking for an all-around cream that works for the whole family—this is it!
