    Why it works

BODY+ME Anti-Aging Body Treatment combines 0.1% Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate (HPR), a vitamin A derivative, with moisturising and skin-conditioning ingredients. The formula is designed to improve the appearance of fine lines, firmness and uneven texture while helping maintain hydration and softness.

    Retinoid Renewal & Firmness

HPR supports skin renewal and helps improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and loss of firmness. With consistent use, body skin can look smoother and more refined.

    Hydration & Skin Softness

4% glycerin, hyaluronic acid and argan oil help maintain moisture and soften the skin, improving the feel of dryness and roughness.

    Soothing & Barrier Support

0.5% allantoin and panthenol help support skin comfort and the skin barrier, complementing the active retinoid treatment.

    Key Ingredients

    Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate (HPR) 0.1%
A vitamin A derivative used to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, loss of firmness and uneven skin texture. HPR offers retinoid-based skincare benefits through a different form of vitamin A than traditional retinol or retinal.

    Glycerin 4%
A humectant that attracts and retains moisture, helping keep body skin hydrated, softer and more comfortable.

    Allantoin 0.5%
A soothing and skin-conditioning ingredient that helps soften the skin and support comfort, particularly when using active treatments.

    Hyaluronic Acid + Panthenol
Hydrating and skin-conditioning ingredients that help maintain moisture and support the skin barrier for smoother, more comfortable-feeling skin.

    How to use

After showering or bathing, pat your skin dry and apply the treatment evenly over the body, massaging until absorbed. One pump is the manufacturer's suggested starting amount; adjust the amount according to the area being treated.

If you are new to retinoids, start with 1–2 applications per week. Gradually increase to 3–5 times per week as your skin develops tolerance. More frequent use is not necessary if your skin is already responding well.

Avoid applying to broken, irritated or freshly exfoliated skin. When introducing the treatment, avoid using strong exfoliating acids or other retinoids on the same areas in the same routine to minimise irritation.

Use sunscreen on exposed body skin during the day while using this treatment.

Avoid retinoid products during pregnancy; seek professional guidance about use while breastfeeding.

    FAQ

What does BODY+ME Anti-Aging Body Treatment with HPR do?
This leave-on body treatment is designed to improve visible signs of skin ageing, including fine lines, wrinkles, loss of firmness and uneven texture. It contains 0.1% HPR, a vitamin A derivative, alongside 4% glycerin, 0.5% allantoin, hyaluronic acid, argan oil and panthenol. Together, these ingredients combine retinoid-based skin renewal support with hydration, softness and skin-conditioning benefits.

    What is HPR (Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate)?
HPR, short for Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate, is a newer-generation retinoid belonging to the vitamin A family. Like retinol and retinal, it is used in skincare to help improve visible signs of ageing, including fine lines, wrinkles, loss of firmness and uneven skin texture.

What makes HPR different is its chemical structure and how it interacts with the skin. Traditional retinol must first be converted into retinal and then into retinoic acid, the biologically active form of vitamin A. Retinal requires only the final conversion step. HPR, however, is a retinoic acid ester that has been studied for its ability to interact with retinoic acid receptors without following the same conversion pathway as retinol or retinal.

These receptors are involved in regulating processes associated with skin renewal and the maintenance of healthy-looking skin. This is why HPR is used in formulas designed to support smoother texture, improved firmness and a reduction in the appearance of fine lines over time.

HPR is also often described as a potentially gentler alternative to traditional retinoids. However, direct comparative clinical evidence remains limited, so it should not automatically be considered stronger, faster or less irritating than retinol or retinal. As with other retinoids, gradual introduction is recommended, particularly for sensitive skin.

What is the difference between HPR, retinol and retinal?
HPR, retinol and retinal all belong to the retinoid family, a group of vitamin A derivatives used in skincare to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, uneven texture and other visible signs of ageing. Although they share similar skincare goals, they differ in their chemical structure and how they interact with the skin.

    • Retinol must undergo two conversion steps in the skin before becoming retinoic acid, the biologically active form of vitamin A. It is widely used in anti-ageing skincare, with a substantial body of research supporting its benefits for skin texture, fine lines and wrinkles.
    • Retinal (retinaldehyde) is one conversion step closer to retinoic acid. It generally converts more directly than retinol and is often used in formulas targeting visible signs of ageing. However, its effectiveness and tolerability still depend on concentration, formulation and individual skin response.
    • HPR (Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate) is a retinoic acid ester with a different chemical structure. It has been studied for its potential to interact with retinoic acid receptors without requiring the same conversion steps as retinol or retinal. HPR is often positioned as a potentially gentler retinoid, although direct comparative clinical evidence remains more limited than for traditional retinoids.
    • Which one is stronger? There is no reliable percentage-to-percentage comparison between these ingredients. For example, 0.1% HPR does not automatically provide the same potency, speed of results or irritation potential as 0.1% retinol or 0.1% retinal. The overall formulation, concentration, frequency of use and individual skin tolerance all influence the results.

Can I use this body treatment if I have never used retinoids before?
Yes, it can be introduced gradually, but it should not be treated like an ordinary daily body lotion from the start. Begin with 1–2 applications per week and increase to 3–5 times weekly only as your skin becomes comfortable with the formula. If dryness, redness or irritation develops, reduce the frequency or stop using it until your skin has recovered.

Can I use this treatment on rough skin, arms, legs and other body areas?
Yes. The formula is designed for body skin and is particularly relevant to areas where roughness, dryness, uneven texture or visible loss of firmness are concerns. Apply to intact skin and avoid sensitive or irritated areas. It is not intended for mucous membranes or damaged skin.

Can I combine HPR with exfoliating acids or other retinoids?
It is best not to apply strong AHA or BHA exfoliants or another retinoid to the same body areas in the same routine, particularly when first introducing HPR. Combining several active treatments can increase dryness and irritation. If you use an exfoliating body product, alternate application days and adjust your routine according to skin tolerance.

Does HPR make the skin more sensitive to sunlight?
Because HPR belongs to the retinoid family, sun protection is an important precaution while using it. UV exposure is also a major contributor to visible skin ageing, including wrinkles, uneven pigmentation and loss of firmness. Protect exposed areas with sunscreen during the day, particularly when using a body treatment intended to improve these concerns.

    Is this body treatment fragrance-free?
Yes. The updated formula contains no added fragrance and is also described as dye-free. A slight natural scent may still be noticeable from the ingredients themselves.

Can I use this treatment during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
HPR is a vitamin A derivative. As a precaution, avoid using retinoid treatments during pregnancy. Suitability during breastfeeding has not been specifically established for this formula, so consult a healthcare professional before use.
