Anti-Redness & Pigmentation Sunscreen SPF50

Created by consultant dermatologist and skin cancer surgeon Dr Andrew Birnie, Altruist Anti-Redness & Pigmentation SPF50 is a tinted moisturiser and day cream in one, developed specifically for hypersensitive and redness-prone skin.

This high-performance formula provides broad-spectrum SPF50 protection with a 5-star ultra-UVA rating (PPD 52) — meaning exceptional defence against UVA rays that contribute to premature ageing, redness flare-ups and pigment formation. Also iron oxides help protect against visible light, which is very important for pigmentation-prone skin, including melasma and post-acne marks.

The green tint works instantly to neutralise redness, while the finish dries down to a natural, light-brown tone that helps even out skin tone without looking heavy. Unlike many tinted sunscreens, this formula also includes a redness-reducing plant complex designed to support calmer, more comfortable skin over time.

Fragrance-free, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, it’s an excellent daily SPF for rosacea-prone skin, reactive acne, redness from scarring, and uneven pigmentation.

Gently massage into face and extend onto neck and décolletage until an even tone is achieved.
Use daily, year-round for best results.
Reapply throughout the day, especially after swimming, sweating or towelling.
Can also be used as a light foundation — apply a second layer if you want deeper coverage.
