Essence Toner is a lightweight leave-on toner for skin that feels dehydrated, dry, tight or in need of a simple hydration step after cleansing.

Hydration support

Glycerin and butylene glycol support water-binding hydration. Skin feels softer, smoother and less tight.

Essence-toner prep

The lightweight texture adds hydration before serum and moisturiser. Skin feels more comfortable and ready for the next steps.

Botanical comfort

Astragalus root extract supports the toner’s cared-for skin feel. Skin feels balanced and comfortable after application.

Glycerin

A water-binding humectant included high in the formula. It helps skin feel softer, smoother and less tight after application.

Butylene Glycol

A humectant and formula-support ingredient that helps the toner feel hydrating and comfortable. It supports a softer, more flexible skin feel.

Astragalus Membranaceus Root Extract

A botanical extract used for skin-conditioning support. In this toner, it supports a cared-for, comfortable skin feel without acting like a treatment active.

Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane

A skin-feel ingredient that helps the toner leave skin feeling smooth and comfortable. It supports the lightweight essence texture.

Apply after cleansing, using your hands or a cotton pad. Use morning and/or evening before serum and moisturiser, and before sunscreen in the morning.

In the morning, you can also use it on its own to refresh the skin instead of cleansing, especially if morning cleansing leaves your skin feeling dry or stripped. If skin feels dehydrated, layer more than once before sealing with serum and moisturise

What does Essence Toner do?

Essence Toner adds lightweight hydration after cleansing and helps skin feel softer, smoother and less tight. It prepares the skin for serum and moisturiser without acting like an exfoliating or treatment toner.

Who is Essence Toner best for?

It is best for skin that feels dehydrated, dry, tight or in need of a simple hydration step. It can suit dry, normal, combination and sensitive-feeling skin when used for comfort and hydration support.

Is Essence Toner hydrating?

Yes. Glycerin and butylene glycol help bind water to the skin, so skin feels softer, smoother and more comfortable after application.

Can I layer Essence Toner more than once?

Yes. If skin feels dehydrated, apply 1–2 extra light layers before serum and moisturiser. This can add more hydration without making the routine feel heavy.

Is Essence Toner exfoliating?

No. This is not an exfoliating toner. It does not contain an AHA, BHA or PHA exfoliating system and should be used as a hydrating essence-toner step.

Can I use Essence Toner with retinoids, AHA or BHA?

Yes. Essence Toner can be used as a simple hydration step in routines with stronger actives. Apply it before serum or treatment steps, or use it to add hydration when skin feels tight from active ingredients.

Can I use Essence Toner while pregnant or breastfeeding?
