As temperatures continue to drop, it’s important to protect your skin from colder conditions. Here are a few simple skincare tips to help your skin barrier stay healthy and protected throughout the colder season.
1. Apply sun protection.
Even tough the days are shorter with less sunlight, it doesn't mean that you are free from the damaging effects of the sun.
SPF 30 or higher used every day is the most important thing you can do for your skin, no matter where you live. It protects you from UV damage but also allows any skincare treatment / product to work better as your skin benefits are protected from degregation from sunlight.
2. Hydration.
Cold winter air will dry out the skin, adding the moisture back or locking it in with a heavier cream will reduce the risk of inflaming the skin barrier.
3. Acne & Pimple Prevention.
When the skin barrier is weak; bacteria have a chance to infiltrate the skin which in turn can lead to pimples, acne and and infections.
The best time to use a moisturiser is right after you've washed your face or as soon as you're out of the shower -applying cream right after you wash will help lock in moisture.
4. Antioxidant Serums.
Using an antioxidant serum gives your skin a helping hand at neutralising environmental stressors. Perfect addition to a skincare routine during the colder months as the skin is already working harder to retain moisture during temperature changes.
5. Gentle Cleansers.
By using gentle cleansers and not washing the face in too hot water for too long can help the skin barrier stay lubricated and intact.
6. Exfoliating Acids.
Gentle exfoliation removes clogged pores and helps stimulate collagen, also helps the skin retain hydration. By gently removing dead skin cells your products will effectively penetrate the skin barrier.

Glycolic Acid - Suitable for all skin types, especially skin with pigmentation, sun damage & visible lines, and dull skin.
